It’s with great concern and prayer that I report Jamie Foxx experienced a “medical complication” on Tuesday (April 11).
Jamie’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, took to social media to share the news with a statement released on her official Instagram account.
The statement reads:
From the Foxx Family:
We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.
Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
The family asks for privacy during this time.
Much love,
The Foxx Family

Jamie Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop, is an Oscar-winning actor, a top-tier comedian, and an incredible singer.
The OGs know and love him as far back as and even before he starred in his WB hit 1996 sitcom, “The Jamie Foxx Show.”
But, the 55-year-old actor became a household name after his incomparable portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 film, Ray, which led to him winning an Oscar for Best Actor in 2005.
Jamie is very busy these days as he is now the owner of Brown Sugar Bourbon and The Best Paddle (for Pickleball).
He’s producing TV and film projects with his business partner Datari Turner.
Jamie Foxx is set to star in the new Netflix movie, They Cloned Tyrone, and he was currently filming Back In Action with Cameron Diaz.
I am thrilled to hear Jamie Foxx is already on his “road to recovery.”
Hopefully, he will get plenty of rest and I’m sending up prayers for him to have a full and speedy recovery.
