J. Cole has expanded the Dreamville empire with two new additions, Dreamville Ventures and Dreamville Studios.
Dreamville Ventures is a multi-disciplinary media company and Dreamville Studios will produce original and co-produced content.
Damien Scott and Candace Rodney will lead the new divisions and Cole holds them in very high regard.
He says they are “two of the smartest and most capable” execs in the business.
It all began with Dreamville Records and the success of the record company has led to expansion.
Cole told Variety:
Dreamville has always been a mom-and-pop operation with grand ambitions and ideas that extend far beyond music.
The hiring of Damien and Candace not only expands our family business with two of the smartest and most capable executives in the industry, but allows us to take a massive leap towards turning those big ideas into reality.
Ibrahim Hamad, Dreamville co-founder, agrees that Damien and Candace are perfect fits for the job.
Dreamville is a brand we built from the ground up and the appointments of Damien and Candace allows us to take the company to levels we’ve always dreamed of while keeping our core values and beliefs at the forefront of our expansion.
J. Cole has released six consecutive number-one albums.
His most recent project, Revenge of the Dreamers III, was released in July 2019.
It’s great to see an artist spending their money wisely.
We look forward to what’s to come from the Dreamville Compound.
