JAY-Z is trending in the streets of social media for his brutally honest acceptance speech after receiving the Global Impact Award at the 2024 Grammy Awards

With his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, by his side, JAY-Z began by expressing his appreciation and love for Dr. Dre and his cultural contributions.

Then, the 24-time Grammy-winning artist talked about how Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince (Will Smith) boycotted the Grammys in 1989, and how he followed suit in 1999 after DMX was snubbed.

‘When I Get Nervous, I Tell The Truth’

JAY-Z noted, “When I get nervous, I tell the truth,” and he commenced to calling out the Grammys on their BS.

Namely, the fact that his wife, Beyoncé, is the most decorated artist in Grammy history with 32 awards, but she has never won Album of the Year.
