Glynn Turman remembers his “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” costar, Chadwick Boseman, as “quite a guy all around.”
Of course I’m very saddened, but I’m glad we had a chance to work together and that I got to know him outside of the play as well as work with him as a performer and see his beautiful technique and style of working.
He was the kind of guy you could hang out with. A guy with a great sense of humor, didn’t take himself too seriously, was able to take a joke and dish out a joke.
Found out he was quite a guy all around.
Turman stars as “Toledo” and Boseman stars as “Levee” in the highly anticipated Netflix film based on the award-winning play by August Wilson.
“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” premieres on Netflix on December 18 and you do not want to miss it!
Both Glynn Turman and Chadwick Boseman deliver unforgettable performances.
