GloRilla channeled her inner James Brown during a recent appearance on CNN.
The Grammy-nominated Memphis rapper, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, discussed her recent White House visit with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on the cable news channel.
GloRilla, sporting dark shades, and a beaming smile, spoke with Laura Coates virtually from Los Angeles, California.
When asked about meeting President Biden, Glo said, “It was so cool. I was geeked. Like…everybody don’t get the meet the president and the vice president. Just being able to be in the White House like I never in a million years thought I’d be in the White House.“
GloRilla shared a touching moment about receiving a heartfelt text from her proud mother, expressing her joy at her daughter’s success.
“She called me so happy. She was super excited. That’s one of the reasons why I be so happy about my accomplishments than anything else because of how proud my mama and daddy be of me.”

Then, Glo tapped into her inner James Brown when Laura inquired about her political stance following her White House visit.
“Did they want your endorsement, did they want you to help people get out the vote,” Laura asked.
That’s when GloRilla went straight James Brown on CNN.
She said:
Hey, that ain’t got nothing to do with me.
You know what I’m saying? I’m just (she begins to sing) livin my life like it’s golden..livin my life like it’s golden.
But, you know I’m not gone, you know what I’m sayin, talk politics.
But, I love the president.
You know what I’m sayin? I love everybody.
And at the end of the day…the day gotta end.
