Hulu has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated documentary, “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told,” premiering on March 21.
About ‘Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told’
Executive Producers Luke Campbell, Jermaine Dupri, and 21 Savage team up with Mass Appeal & Swirl Films to present “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told.”
This vibrant documentary celebrates the iconic Atlanta street party, Freaknik, which skyrocketed the city’s cultural status in the 80s and 90s.
Initially a college cookout, Freaknik evolved into a legendary event known for wild tales of highway rendezvous and epic late-night bashes, eventually leading to its demise.
Despite its chaotic reputation, Freaknik was deeply rooted in Atlanta’s history of Civil Rights and Black leadership, serving as a platform for celebrating Black culture and education.
While the festival ended over two decades ago, its legacy lives on, cherished for its carefree spirit and promotion of Black excellence, joy, and resilience.
