Get ready for one of the biggest nights in hip hop as BET gears up for the 19th annual “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2024!
The much-anticipated event, set to showcase the hottest talent in hip hop, will be taped in a thrilling new location—Las Vegas—on October 8.
Mark your calendars for the broadcast, airing on October 15 at 8 PM ET/PT, where you’ll see Grammy-nominated artist Fat Joe return as host for his third year, ready to bring the house down as both co-executive producer and master of ceremonies.
Fat Joe, known for hits like “Lean Back” and “All the Way Up,” is thrilled to be back: “Joe Crack is back for the 3-peat, night night baby,” he said.
“It’s been a dream to host the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ the past few years, and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas.”
This year’s awards promise to be bigger than ever, with top names like Megan Thee Stallion leading the pack with a jaw-dropping 12 nominations.
She’s up for major categories including ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Lyricist of the Year,’ and ‘Hip Hop Album of the Year.’
Close on her heels is Kendrick Lamar, securing 11 nods, while Drake comes in strong with eight nominations.
Rounding out the top contenders, Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj each received seven nominations.
But it’s not just about the A-listers.
The nominations span 17 categories, honoring a wide range of talent, from emerging artists to legendary veterans.
Notably, 21 Savage and 41 earned four nominations each, and acts like A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, and Common are also making waves with multiple nods.
As always, the “BET Hip Hop Awards” spotlight the cultural diversity and creative innovation that define the genre.
