Martin Lawrence recently opened up about his daughter Jasmin’s engagement to Eddie Murphy’s son, Eric, and revealed who’s expected to foot the wedding bill.
I previously reported Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence got engaged the day before Thanksgiving.
They shared the exciting news via social media over the weekend.
During a recent interview, Martin Lawrence shared with Big Boy that Eddie Murphy jokingly told him it’s his turn to cover the costs since Eddie has already paid for several of his own kids’ weddings.
“Well, Eddie said I gotta pay for it… because he paid for his last daughter’s wedding. Like the last six weddings. He said it was my turn now,” Martin explained.
Despite the playful pressure, Martin added with a smile, “I don’t mind. I don’t mind.”

Well, it is customary for the bride’s father to pay for the wedding, so Eddie and his wallet can relax this go ’round.
