DeVon Franklin has filed for divorce from Meagan Good after 9 years of marriage.

According to The Blast, the spiritual leader and movie producer filed the divorce petition on Monday, December 20, at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, California.

Meagan and DeVon released the following joint statement:

After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected.

We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.

We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.

Just two weeks ago, things appeared to be well as DeVon took to social media to publicly support Meagan’s new Amazon Studios series, “Harlem.”

He wrote:

Y’all not ready for this!!! I’m so proud of my love @Meagangood! She’s one of the most talented actors on the planet AND she’s funnier than you may know but I’m so glad you finally get a chance to see her do it all as Camille Parks in the new Amazon show #Harlem@Harlemonprime!! It streams on DEC 3rd on @amazonprimevideo ???????????????????? P.S. this will be your new favorite show…sex in the city has nothing on #harlem

The actress responded to the post writing:

My Loooove???? .. thank you ???????? Heart’ah’smilin ????????????????????????. Love you!

Rumors about trouble in paradise began circulating back in August around Meagan’s birthday when it appeared that DeVon was noticeably absent from all of her birthday celebrations.

I attributed his absence to the possibility of him being tied up with a film project.

Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin do not have any children together so I expect their divorce to be amicable.

I’ll send up a prayer for them and wish them well as they move forward on their separate paths.
