A “Tiny Toons” reboot is on the way at HBO Max and Cartoon Network, but there is one HUGE problem – Cree Summer’s character, Elmyra Duff, will not be a part of it.
Cree delivered the disappointing news via Twitter on Wednesday and shared she is sad about not being able to voice the character again.
I just got the word that ELMYRA will NOT be included in the Tiny Toons reboot ?
Yeah I’m sad too, they just don’t want the character anymore

When actress Ryan Michelle Bathe inquired about the change, Cree responded:
I really don’t think it’s personal, they are just going another way with the show. I was just a lil blue that I would not get to play her again.
Thanks for the support, I have the best damn fans in the Universe. Let’s give it a chance it could turn out to be wonderful.

According to Deadline, the reboot, “Tiny Toons Looniversity,” will follow the characters’ comedic ambitions all the way to Acme Looniversity, the esteemed institution of higher high-jinks learning, where young dreamers become professional toons.
Here they form long-lasting friendships with one another and perfect their cartoony craft while studying under the greatest cartoon characters in history, the Looney Tunes.
Someone in a decision-making position really needs to rethink this decision.
They are doing themselves a huge disservice without Cree.
