Coke Daniels has released the first trailer for his forthcoming thriller, Karen.
“Orange is the New Black” alum Taryn Manning is producing and starring in the film as Karen White, a racist and entitled white woman in the South who terrorizes her new African-American neighbors
When Malik (Cory Hardrict), a community activist in Atlanta, and his wife, Assata (Jasmine Burke), become Karen’s new neighbor, she makes it her personal mission to remove them from the neighborhood, by any means necessary.
However, Assata and Malik don’t have time for this and aren’t going down without a fight.

Writer and director Coke Daniels took to Instagram to share these thoughts before Karen is released to the world:
As we round the home stretch on Karen, it’s hard to believe it was only one year ago that I wrote that ominous name on the title page. It’s been a long and bumpy road to bring this joint to fruition. So many obstacles to overcome. I just wanted to stop and thank all of the supporters from around the globe. Your love and light has given me the energy to fight the good fight! Particularly a young man from Uganda who DM’d me a while back and simply said “The world is waiting to see Karen, Mr Daniels.” ???? ???????? She’s coming! It’s not just a film, it’s a crusade! ????✊????????????????
