Chris Brown Wants You To Name 5 Tinashe Songs

Chris Brown - Tinashe

Chris Brown and Tinashe are trending in the streets of Twitter after her recent remarks in an interview offended him.

Tinasha Talks Past Collabs With R. Kelly & Chris Brown

During a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show, Tinashe was asked about past musical collaborations that she was kind of forced to do by her record label.

The first was “Let’s Be Real Now,” her collab with R. Kelly on his 2015 album, The Buffet

Tinashe quickly responded:

I literally block out that R. Kelly song from my mind. I forget that it even exists. That is so embarrassing. That is so unreal that I even have a song with R. Kelly. T

hat’s so embarrassing. I was so young, too, which is crazy because I feel like I did that song when I just signed to that label …

I was probably like 20 … That was crazy.

The second collaboration in question was “Player,” her 2015 single featuring Chris Brown.

Tinashe said she didn’t feel like Chris was the right fit for the Pop song, but the label pushed it.

You lack a lot of control in that situation. And especially when it comes to singles like the song with Chris – that was a song that we all wanted to be this big moment, this big single.

So I feel like in the label’s mind, they were like, ‘You need the support.’ And he was like their biggest artist that they had on rhythmic radio at the time.

And to me, I was like, ‘Well this is a pop song. So I really don’t feel like we should put Chris on it. That doesn’t compute to me.’ But I don’t know!

The waters got murky when headlines began to pop up saying Tinashe was “embarrassed” to work with R. Kelly and Chris.

That’s not what exactly she said.

Chris Brown saw the conflated headlines about Tinashe’s interview and took offense.

He reacted via social media writing:

She full of dat evil. Shawty career is nonexistent. What’s more embarrasing is that she worked with all these people and none of us could save her career.
