Another “Love Island USA” love story has reached its final chapter. Chelley Bissainthe has confirmed that she and Ace Greene have officially gone their separate ways, sharing heartfelt insight into their breakup during a recent radio interview.
Chelley Bissainthe, 28, revealed the split during an interview with SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, hosted by Danny Murphy and Evan Real.
In a preview released on Friday, December 12, the reality star confirmed that she and Ace, 23, had decided to part ways after having deep and thoughtful conversations.
“It really was a tough decision for the both of us and very hard to decide, but, you know, when you love someone, sometimes loving someone means letting go,” Bissainthe shared. “So I think we just got to that decision.”
If you watched Season 7 of “Love Island USA,” you probably remember how quickly fans became invested in Chelley and Ace.
The two sparked a connection on the show, made things official in the villa, and exited the island together on day 30.
Their relationship continued off-camera, earning them a loyal fan base rooting for the long haul.
According to Chelley, the breakup came with mutual respect and understanding on both sides.
“We wanted this to work, but sometimes things don’t work,” she explained. “Couples go through things that are very challenging and sometimes the best thing to do is just make a decision that needs to be made.”
When asked about what those conversations looked like behind the scenes, Chelley emphasized that the decision was mutual and thoughtful, especially considering their supporters.
“We thought about our supporters, our fans and stuff,” she said. “But I’ll trust that they’ll understand that this decision needed to be made if we were able to come to this mutual decision.”
Chelley also made it clear that she and Ace are choosing peace over public speculation, noting that the details surrounding their breakup are not something she feels obligated to share.
“I believe we can be peaceful and just understand that we’re good with being able to be on the same page,” she said.
Later in the interview, Chelley Bissainthe reflected on relationships more broadly, offering a perspective that feels both grounded and grown.
“I think we’re put on this earth to experience people,” she said. “Sometimes we want it to last a lifetime and sometimes it’s just for that moment in time. It’s very grateful nonetheless. At the end of the day, I wish Ace the best, and for myself, I just have to focus on healing and growth.”
Chelley’s full interview with SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio is set to air on Monday, December 15, where she is expected to expand further on her journey post-“Love Island USA.”
Frens, breakups are never easy, especially when they play out in the public eye.
But, with the utmost respect and love…this lasted longer than I expected it to.
However, I wish them both clarity, peace, and growth as they move forward.
