Bronny James has been discharged from the hospital according to a statement released by Cedars-Sinai.

The 18-year-old college athlete and son of NBA star LeBron James, suffered cardiac arrest on Monday while practicing with his USC Trojans basketball team.

According to the statement released by Merije Chukumerije, MD, FACC, Bronny arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center “fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable.”

Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics’ medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest.

He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable.

Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting.

Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support.

LeBron James also released a quick update via social media on Thursday where he said, “Everyone is doing good.”

It’s great to hear positive updates regarding Bronny James.

I pray for his full and speedy recovery.
