Brittney Griner is back, y’all!
The WNBA star, who has gone through hell and high water for nearly a year in Russia, has re-signed a one-year contract with the Phoenix Mercury.
After returning home from her arrest and imprisonment in Russia, the 32-year-old said that she would return to the Mercury in a social media post.
Brittney wrote:
I also want to make one thing very clear: I intend to play basketball for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury this season, and in doing so, I look forward to being able to say ‘thank you’ to those of you who advocated, wrote, and posted for me in person soon.
The Associated Press was the first to report the signing over the weekend after receiving info from an insider.
