If you thought Brian McKnight was going to get into heaven, I implore you to start back at one!

In an exclusive interview with Marc Lamont Hill, Brian McKnight Jr. and his mother, Julie McKnight, finally tell their side of the story about their fractured family dynamic with the R&B singer.

But one of the most heartbreaking moments of the conversation came when Brian Jr. recalled his late brother, Niko McKnight, reaching out to their father in the final stages of his cancer battle to simply ask if he loved him.

And Brian McKnight could not even tell his dying son that he loved him.

It is almost too cold to comprehend.

Brian Jr. said:

One of the darkest and coldest and most disheartening memories of my life is the day my brother calls me sobbing.

With all that he’s going through looking death in the eye to tell me I’m right about telling him not to call my father.

Because I knew what was going to happen because I knew where my dad was.

I told him the dad is gone.

Dad’s gone. All my brother wanted and needed asked for was for my father to tell him that he loves him.

And my father responds to my brother that I can’t arbitrarily say that I love you.

But this is the man that wanted to help him.

Niko McKnight passed away in May.

In October, Brian McKnight returned to social media, taunting his “former” family and boasting that he won an 8.8 million judgment against his ex-wife for allegedly lying on him.

He even played a voicemail of Julie telling him to cease all efforts to communicate with Niko.

Julie McKnight addressed the voicemail during her conversation with Marc Lamont Hill, saying:

Yes, people heard the voicemail, but they have no idea that as a mom standing in the room with my son on speaker with his wife, and hearing how belittling his father talked to him.

Talk to him.

And the first comment out of his mouth was, I don’t appreciate the way you’re treating my new family.

Who gives a damn man?

I’m not going to ruin my chances of getting into heaven by telling you what I truly think about Brian McKnight.

  1. I can’t even try to understand how a parent can deny and not love their children. Brian McKnight is a horrible person and his “new family” are just as bad for accepting his behavior. I would NEVER be with a man that don’t have a relationship with his children. DISGUSTING!!!!!
