The CMA Awards announced their 2024 nominees, and Beyoncé’s record-breaking country album Cowboy Carter is nowhere to be found.
Despite being the most acclaimed and best-selling new country album of 2024, Cowboy Carter didn’t receive a single nomination.
The Beyhive is preparing their 16 carriages to ride at dawn!
Some media outlets are trying to smooth things over by reporting that the album wasn’t eligible due to its release date.
However, a quick visit to the official CMA Awards website proved otherwise.
The awards criteria, rules of election, and balloting procedures are established by CMA’s Board of Directors.
Singles, albums, music videos, and other qualified music products for the annual show must have been first released or reached peak national prominence during the eligibility period, which for the 2024 show is July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.
Cowboy Carter was released on March 29, 2024.
Social media is buzzing as Beyoncé fans take to their timelines to react and call out the tomfoolery!
