Pedro Pascal is back with a new movie, and the first teaser trailer for “Behemoth!” has officially arrived.
The upcoming drama opens in theaters on December 4, 2026, but if you were hoping this first look would tell you exactly what the movie is about, don’t get your hopes up.
The teaser is visually stunning and packed with emotion, but it reveals very little about the story. While that mystery may be intentional, it didn’t leave me counting down the days until opening weekend.
What Is ‘Behemoth!’ About?
Pedro Pascal stars as Alex Serian, a gifted cellist who returns home to Los Angeles after spending 20 years on the road.
After dedicating his life to music, Alex finds himself on a deeply personal journey that promises to change him forever.
“Behemoth!” is written, directed, and produced by Tony Gilroy, with Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy serving as producers.
The film also stars Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Alexa Swinton, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, JoBeth Williams, Margarita Levieva, Hank Azaria, and Will Arnett.
The Teaser Looks Beautiful, But I’m Not Sold Yet
There’s no denying this teaser is gorgeous.
The cinematography is striking, the score is dramatic, and the overall vibe screams prestige drama.
But when it ended, I wasn’t left thinking, “I have to see this.”
Instead, I found myself wanting another trailer that gives us a better sense of who Alex is and what makes this journey so life changing.
Maybe that’s the point. Maybe the mystery is part of the experience.
Either way, this teaser didn’t quite hook me.

Will You Be Watching?
Based on the teaser alone, I’m still waiting for something that makes me feel like this is a must-see movie.
Then again…who am I kidding?
I’m probably going to be seated on December 4 because Pedro Pascal rarely misses.
