The Baltimore Ravens were recently in the Antonio Brown sweepstakes, but since Antonio’s predetermined destination is in Seattle, the Ravens plan to sign Dez Bryant to their practice squad.
The Ravens need another dependable wide receiver.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson’s most dependable receiving options are wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and tight end Mark Andrews.
Brown leads the team with 25 receptions, 376 yards and one touchdown.
Dez Bryant’s last NFL action was in 2018 with the New Orlean Saints, but he tore his Achilles in practice and was out for the rest of the season.
In his eight-season with the Cowboys, Bryant was a three-time Pro Bowler and a First-Team All-Pro.
He played 113 regular-season games, he amassed 531 receptions for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns.
From 2012-2014, Bryant averaged 88 catches, 1200 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns. From 2015-2017, Bryant averaged 69 catches, 838 yards, and 8 touchdowns.
In his last few years with the Cowboys Bryant’s offensive production declined, but the Ravens are hoping his veteran presence adds a punch to their offense.
Dez Bryant has multiple training videos on his Instagram account to show NFL teams he’s been keeping himself in shape.

Ian Rappaport of the NFL Network confirmed the Ravens plan to sign Bryant to their practice squad pending his workout goes well and he passes a physical.
