Aries Spears spoke out about the sex abuse lawsuit he’s facing on a recent episode of his “Spears & Steinberg” podcast calling it “an extortion case.”
The Lawsuit
According to the lawsuit, Tiffany Haddish and Aries groomed a 14-year-old girl and her 7-year-old brother and made them film explicit skits.
The suit claims Tiffany and Aries molested the 7-year-old boy at a home while filming a “Funny or Die” video titled, “The Mind of a Pedophile.”
Jane Doe claims that Tiffany taught her how to mimic fellatio for a skit when she was 14 years old.
“Haddish verbally explained what was expected of Plaintiff Jane Doe and then showed Plaintiff Jane Doe how to give fellatio, including movements, noises, moaning, and groaning,” the lawsuit states.
The siblings claim Tiffany was friends with their mother and the video featuring the 7-year-old boy was published online through “Funny or Die” when he was too young to consent.
Both siblings claim they have developed social disorders.
Jane says her trauma has prevented her from dating because she’s afraid she will be taken advantage of and “led down a path of false trust like the path that Haddish led her down.”
John Doe claims he places band-aids over all the cameras on his electronics because he is so afraid of being watched.
The siblings are suing Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears for damages following their mother’s failed attempt to reach a $15,000 settlement with Spears over the molestation video.
Funny Or Die
A “Funny or Die” skit titled, “The Mind of a Pedophile,” is one of the videos at the heart of the lawsuit.
Portions of the video are still floating around the world wide web and it is downright disgusting and extremely uncomfortable to watch.
Aries Spears is playing the role of “Uncle Pete” and Tiffany Haddish is a mother who asks him on multiple occasions to watch her son, T.J. (presumably John Doe in the lawsuit).
T.J. is only wearing a pair of underwear.
Tiffany kisses T.J. on the forehead and instructs him to do “whatever Uncle Pete asks you to do.”
The skit went on to show T.J. playing with his toys as Uncle Pete stares at him in a predatory fashion through eye holes in his newspaper.
That’s when R. Kelly’s voice begins to sing, “My mind’s telling me ‘no,’ but my body is telling me ‘yes.'”
The video goes on to show another scene where Tiffany leaves T.J., who is in the bathtub, alone with Uncle Pete.
It only gets worse from there.
Aries Spears Speaks Out
On a recent episode of his “Spears & Steinberg” podcast, Aries Spears called the lawsuit “an extortion case.”
Listen, this is an extortion case. This is a shakedown.
And I didn’t need my lawyer to tell me this…to say this…but, I’m going to echo her words: We won’t be shaken down.
And believe me it’s bothering me not to talk about the skit.
Cause Andy and I have been talking about it and there are some very valid things I feel like I have to say or want to say, but I just can’t at this time.
I’m no coward. I’m not running from anything and I’m not guilty of anything.
Aries Spears goes on to attack the credibility of the mother of Jane Doe and John Doe.
I will say this…you can even dig up the history yourself…but this person has a history of these false accusations.
Saying they’ve been raped, they even once blamed the whole entire San Bernardino Police Department for allegedly fondling her and her children at the same time in the same house. Picture that!
An entire f**king police department?! Come on, man.
And what’s killing me is all of the people hitting me up at no point does a little common sense or red flags…whatever man.
People are just running with this and it didn’t help with the Lizzo thing.
I’m having a bad week. But, it be what it be.
Watch the clip below.
Tiffany Haddish took to social media on Labor Day and shared that she deeply regrets being a part of the skit.
Lawsuit and shakedown aside…that skit is nasty and no about of rhetoric is going to change that!
