Angela Rye To Kevin O’Leary: ‘Don’t Touch Me‘
Angela Rye made it crystal clear—she does not play when it comes to personal space.
During a heated debate on CNN NewsNight about Elon Musk’s political donations, Kevin O’Leary got a little too comfortable and reached out to touch her. Big mistake.
“You don’t have to touch me,” Angela snapped, shutting him down on the spot.
Instead of apologizing immediately, O’Leary tried to brush it off with, “I did that nicely.”
Sir, whet?
Angela Rye wasn’t here for the nonsense.
“I don’t want you to touch me. That’s my personal space,” she clapped back, making sure there was no room for debate.
That’s when Kevin O’Leary realized he messed up. “I won’t ever do it again,” he said, finally backing off.
And just like that, a simple but firm boundary lesson was served on live TV.

Charles M. Blow Weighs In: “Why Do These People Insist on Touching Us?!”
Journalist and political analyst Charles M. Blow expeditiously entered the chat!
He took to social media to share his own experience with unwanted touching, and his reaction?
Let’s just say, he kept it all the way real.
Why do these people insist on touching us?!
I just saw a clip of @angelarye having to tell someone not to touch her.
But, Angela was much more restrained than me. Lol.
The first thing I thought was, ‘we are not frens, so stop pretending for these cameras.’ (She rubbed on my shoulder like a genie was going to pop out of it.)
The second thing I thought was #EmmettTill and all the Black men killed when the roles were reversed and they were accused of even smiling at a white woman.
And lastly, I thought, how DARE you argue access to my body!
I know me: I go from zero to 100 in two seconds. Lol.
#personalspace #boundaries #donttouchme
Charles’ reflection cuts deep—it’s not just about an awkward moment on TV.
It’s about the ongoing issue of people feeling entitled to access someone else’s body, even in professional settings.

The Bigger Conversation: Boundaries Are Not Up For Debate
Angela Rye and Charles M. Blow both said what needed to be said: keep your hands to yourself.
This is bigger than TV debates.
It’s about personal space, respect, and the fact that too many people still don’t seem to get it.
Boundaries are not suggestions—they’re rules.
And when someone tells you “don’t touch me,” the conversation ends there.
Frens, what are your thoughts on this exchange? Should Kevin O’Leary have known better? Drop a comment below and let’s discuss!
