Aww yeah! Aww yeah! Showtime has announced “Yellowjackets” Season 2 will premiere this March!
Part survival epic, part psychological horror, and part coming-of-age drama, the series follows the story of a team of wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness.
“Yellowjackets” chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together 25 years later. What began in the wilderness is far from over.
The series stars Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, with Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis.
Season 2 will also welcome Lauren Ambrose, Simone Kessell, Elijah Wood, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger (The Originals), Warren Kole, and Kevin Alves.
Season One did not disappoint! It earned a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, received seven Emmy nominations, and is the second-most streamed series in Showtime history.
“Yellowjackets” Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, March 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT only on Showtime.
