This definitely wasn’t on my 2023 Bingo Card! Legendary Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav sang the National Anthem at the Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks game on Sunday night.

Flavor Flav Belts The National Anthem

As you can imagine basketball fans were stunned and amused to see the 64-year-old rapper, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., belting out the Star Spangled Banner.

I would be remiss if I didn’t say Flavor Flav gave his best effort while singing the song and snapping his finger to seemingly keep his own tempo.

Watching the Milwaukee Bucks ballers try to keep a straight face was just as entertaining as Flav’s performance.

Twitter Reactions

As you can imagine, it didn’t take long before Flavor Flav began trending on Twitter (X).

One person tweeted, “You can tell he truly rehearsed this and sang to the best of his ability. Love it. So happy for him, go Flav!

Someone else wrote, “1000x better than Rosanne Barr’s and Carl Lewis’s rendition 😏

Flavor Flav took to his official Instagram page to react to the chatter about his performance saying that it was on his Bucket List.

The anthem was a long-time bucket list item…that was fun!

I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But, a sure failure is if you stop trying.

Flavor Flav has truly been living his best life as of late.

In June, Flavor Flav celebrated another milestone in his sobriety journey.

The Grammy-nominated rapper and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer shared that he has successfully stopped smoking cigarettes for three years.

Now, while this may not seem like a feat to many, Flav began smoking when he was just 6-years-old!

I pray he continues his sobriety journey.

Keep up the great work, Flav!
