Tyla, the South African singer whose single “Water” went viral, has announced the cancellation of her North America, UK, and Europe tour dates due to an injury.

In a statement released via her official Instagram account, Tyla said she has been “silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened.”

Tyla shared, “I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this but as of right now I won’t be able to proceed with the tour.”

Tyla’s world tour was slated to kick off on March 21 in Oslo, Norway, and included performances at Coachella and The Roots Picnic.

The Grammy Award-winning singer reassured her fans:

Y’all still gonna see me around Tygers so don’t worry too much…just know when I’m back to performing pain free, I’m gonna be even more of a problem 🐅🤍

It’s hard having to turn down opportunities you’ve been waiting your whole life for but God has his plan 🤍

Please join me in wishing Tyla a full and speedy recovery.
