Tyler Perry and Bishop T.D. Jakes are making major moves in Georgia with their plans to purchase the remaining acres of Fort McPherson for amazing development projects.
Tyler has reached a deal to buy around 40 more acres of the former U.S. Army base.
The entertainment mogul plans to develop an entertainment and shopping district.
Once the deal is done, Tyler will own 368 acres of the land.
The entertainment district, which will include a “theater district, retail, restaurants, and plenty of employment opportunities” will be open to the public, but not connected to the adjoining Tyler Perry Studios.
Bishop T.D. Jakes struck a deal to acquire 95 of the remaining acres.
In a news release, Bishop said he wants to develop “real estate and programs in response to the growing, nationwide need for affordable, attainable, and workforce housing.”
Let me find out Tyler Perry and Bishop T.D. Jakes are about to build their own community on Fort McPherson!
Love to see it!
