I am sad to report 28-year-old TikTok influencer Rory Teasley was strangled to death by his boyfriend of 10 years during a fight over a video game.
According to Michigan’s Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, Docquen Jovo Watkins, 31, called 911 on Thursday night (January 6) to report that he and Rory had gotten into a fight.
Docquen told the cops that Rory was now “sleeping” on the couch.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Rory Teasley unconscious and not breathing.
Rory was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the police report, Watkins choked Teasley during a dispute over the 2016 video game, “Overwatch.”
Docquen Jovo Watkins has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond while awaiting a January 18 hearing for probable cause interference.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said:
We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements.
There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable.
Rory Teasley was known by his TikTok handle @too2pump4tv and was famous for posting dance videos and comedic skits.
He had 200,000 followers and millions of views.
In December, Rory posted a TikTok featuring Docquen.
My sincerest condolences to Rory’s family, friends, and all of his fans across social media.
