Tiger Woods has issued an apology for his tampon tomfoolery at the Genesis Open.
The 15-time golf champion outdrove his friend and fellow competitor, Justin Thomas, in the ninth hole of the Genesis Open.
As Tiger Woods walked up the fairway with Justin, he subtly slid a tampon in his hand.
Justin Thomas quickly threw it to the ground and he and Tiger got a quick laugh out of it.

Tiger’s tampon tomfoolery drew mixed reactions on social media.
One person commented, “Tiger handing Justin Thomas a tampon after out driving him is some really sick, misogynistic, bullsh*t.”
Another person tweeted, “I don’t believe people with a functioning brain are actually ‘offended’ by Tiger Woods handing Justin Thomas a tampon. It’s all manufactured anger for headlines and hate clicks. If you are offended by it, you need to go outside more.”

During a press conference, Tiger apologized for the “prank” he played on Justin Thomas.
He said, “Yeah, it was supposed to be all fun and games, and obviously it hasn’t turned out that way. If I offended anybody, it was not the case, it was just friends having fun.”
“As I said, if I offended anybody in any way, shape or form, I’m sorry. It was not intended to be that way. It was just — we play pranks on one another all the time and virally, I think, this did not come across that way, but between us it was — it’s different.”
Olympian Michael Johnson wasn’t buying Tiger’s apology.
He took to Twitter writing, “Apology starting with ‘If I offended anyone’ is no apology. But this is Tiger. Never been a leader and he’s Teflon. Still heralded after all the mistakes so he’s learned nothing. Media focus always on miraculous recovery. Never why the need for recovery.”
