Tiffany Haddish Sparks Outrage With Trip To Israel

Tiffany Haddish sparked backlash on social media after she posted that she is on her way to Israel “to learn and see with her own eyes.”

The comedian and actress, who learned she was Jewish later in life and had a Bat Mitzvah at 40, went live on Instagram from her 16-hour flight from Los Angeles to Israel.

Tiffany said, “I’m gonna go meet my future man out there. I’m out. I’m going to the Holy Land. I suggest you all do it,” as she sipped from a drink from her glass.

This is orange juice, it’s not a mimosa,” the Haunted Mansion actress with two DUIs clarified.

Champagne gives me gas. I would never do that to these people,” she added.

The more Tiffany Haddish spoke, the worse the video became.

She began singing her own made-up song:

On my way to Tel Aviv, then to Jerusalem. Then I’m going to the Dead Sea and goin’ get me some. Gonna have some fun, yeah. It’s gonna be great. Then I’m gonna learn about the politics, ay.

Responding to a commenter, Tiffany said, “Who said I wasn’t going to Gaza? I said I’m going to go see with my own eyes. Gotta go to Israel first. And isn’t Gaza in Israel? Ain’t it all on the same continent, the same little piece of land and surrounded by water?”

Her journey follows the US veto of an Arab-sponsored resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire in Gaza and the release of all hostages in a UN Security Council vote on Tuesday.

Instead, America is advocating for its own proposal, prioritizing the securement of a hostage-exchange agreement.

Tiffany Haddish continued to share the purpose of her trip saying:

This is sociology. This is an educational trip for me. I want to go get educated. I want to see what’s really going on. I want to learn how it started, why it started.

I want to see where Jesus walked. I want to see all the stuff everywhere they talked about in the Bible. I want to see all that. So if it’s in the Bible, I’m probably gonna be there.

Social Media Reactions

Tiffany Haddish is currently trending on Twitter as people take to their timelines to react to her trip to Israel.

One person wrote, “The situation is heart-wrenching, resembling a scene from a horror movie, with the tragic killing of thousands of Palestinians. Amidst this, she approaches the trip as a leisurely, paid vacation, which I find utterly disheartening.”

Another commenter wrote, “Tiffany Haddish is a pathetic attention seeker, that’s what this is. She is a sad little woman and I wish her all the best over there.”
