Tiffany Boone is a class act! I knew it from the moment I met her in 2018 to talk about her role in a new Showtime series called, “The Chi.”
Unfortunately, her unpleasant experiences behind-the-scenes on the show with her co-star, Jason Mitchell, led to Tiffany asking to be released from her contract.
Jason’s misconduct resulted in him being fired from Netflix’s Desperados and “The Chi.” He was also dropped by his management and his agent.

Then, all eyes were on Tiffany – waiting for her to speak out or give the deets on what really went down.
She never did.
In a lengthy statement, posted on her Instagram page, Tiffany Boone opened up (partially) about her decision to leave the show saying she “dishonored myself by staying in a situation that I know wasn’t aligned with who I am or who I want to become.”
She noted that she is not going to go into detail about what happened to avoid any “he say, she say.”
You may recall Lena Waithe and showrunner Ayanna Ford were throwing each other under the bus when it came to accountability for Jason’s misconduct going unchecked.

Life after “The Chi” has been pretty fantastic for Tiffany.
She’s a part of two projects I am very excited about – Hulu’s “Little Fires Everywhere” and “Hunters” on Amazon Prime.
Secure the bag, Tiff! I wish her much success in all of her endeavors.
