The NBA Postpones 2 Chicago Bulls' Games After 10 Players Tests Positive For COVID-19

The NBA postponed two Chicago Bulls’ games after the franchise confirmed today (December 13) a 10th player entered the health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID.

Players in the health and safety protocols must be isolated for 10 days or record two negative COVID test in a 24-hour period before returning to the court.

The 10 players on the COVID list are:

  • Zach Lavine
  • DeMar Derozan
  • Troy Brown Jr.
  • Matt Thomas
  • Coby White
  • Javonte Green
  • Derrick Jones Jr.
  • Ayo Dosunmu
  • Stanley Johnson
  • Alize Johnson

Tuesday’s (December 14) game against the Detroit Pistons and Thursday’s (December 16) game against the Toronto Raptors have been postponed.

The NBA and the Chicago Bulls released the following tweets concerning the postponements:

The Bulls have eight players left, which is the NBA minimum to constitute a team, but due to the inexperience of those eight players the Bulls don’t feel confident in competing against the Pistons and Raptors with those remaining eight players.
