Peacock has just released the official trailer for The Killer, directed by the legendary John Woo.
Known for his iconic films like Face/Off, Mission: Impossible II, Paycheck, Broken Arrow, Silent Night, and Hard Boiled, Woo returns with a fresh take on his 1989 Hong Kong classic.
Produced by the Oscar-winning mind behind Oppenheimer, this high-energy action thriller stars Emmy nominee Nathalie Emmanuel as Zee, a notorious assassin feared in the Parisian underworld as the Queen of the Dead.
The plot thickens when Zee, on an assignment from her shadowy mentor (played by Sam Worthington), refuses to kill a blinded young woman (Diana Silvers) in a Paris nightclub.
This decision disrupts Zee’s alliances and catches the attention of a savvy police investigator (Golden Globe nominee Omar Sy), plunging her into a dark criminal conspiracy that forces her to confront her past.
The film boasts a stellar global cast, including renowned French actors Eric Cantona, Saϊd Taghmaoui, Tchéky Karyo, and Grégory Montel, along with Angeles Woo, and Aurélia Agel.
The Killer will be available for streaming on Peacock starting August 23.
