The wait is almost over! Showtime has announced the second half of “The Chi” Season 6 will resume on Friday, May 10. 

The hit drama series created by Lena Waithe and executive produced by Common, is a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents on the South Side of Chicago who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.

About ‘The Chi’ Season 6

In the first eight episodes of the season, we witness the challenges to Emmett (Jacob Latimore) and Kiesha’s (Birgundi Baker) once-blissful relationship as Emmett’s dangerous ties with Douda (Curtiss Cook) come to light. 

Douda grapples with the aftermath of Q’s murder, which tests the loyalty of his inner circle. 

Victor (Luke James) faces struggles from his past as he navigates his new role as a city councilman. 

Jada (Yolonda Ross) and Darnell (Rolando Boyce) worry about their son Emmett after he takes a desperate and life-threatening action. 

Meanwhile, Rob (Iman Shumpert) and Tiff (Hannaha Hall) find success in their cannabis business, and Jake (Michael V. Epps) sees his apparel line thrive. 

Papa (Shamon Brown Jr.) finds himself falling for an older woman while grappling with the loss of his father and questioning his faith. 

Kevin (Alex Hibbert) seizes a gaming opportunity in Los Angeles, leaving Maisha (Genesis Denise Hale) to pursue her own career goals amidst distractions from her manager Jemma (Judae’a Brown). 

However, danger lurks ahead as no one is safe, and the characters will face unprecedented challenges in the shocking final eight episodes of the sixth season.

When Does ‘The Chi’ Come Back On? 

The final eight episodes of “The Chi” Season 6 will begin airing on Friday, May 10 on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan.
