Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for “The Bride!”, and it looks like a bold, unsettling, and visually explosive reimagining of one of the most iconic stories of all time.

From Academy Award-nominated writer and director Maggie Gyllenhaal, the film stars Academy Award nominee Jessie Buckley and Academy Award winner Christian Bale in a daring new take on the Frankenstein legend, set in 1930s Chicago and filmed for IMAX.

In the trailer, a lonely Frankenstein travels to Chicago searching for connection and hope, but what he creates unleashes a chain reaction of chaos, obsession, and consequences no one can control.

What “The Bride!” Is About

A lonely Frankenstein, played by Christian Bale, travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious, played by Annette Bening, to create a companion for him.

Together, they revive a murdered young woman and The Bride, played by Jessie Buckley, is born.

But what follows is beyond anything they imagined: murder, possession, outlaw lovers, and the start of a wild cultural movement wrapped inside a combustible romance.
