SZA is opening up about why she decided to get a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in a new interview with Elle magazine.
The 33-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer seemingly confirmed she underwent surgery on her record-breaking and chart-topping album, S.O.S., when she rapped, “That a** so fat, it look natural / It’s not.”
SZA, whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe, shared the very simple reason why she got a BBL, “I always wanted a really fat ass with less gym time.”
The “Kill Bill” singer made sure to emphasize that her upgrade was not due to the pressures of the music industry for women to look a certain way.
I didn’t succumb to industry pressure.
I succumbed to my own eyes in the mirror and being like, No, I need some more a**.
SZA added, “I treat my butt like a purse. It’s just there to enhance whatever else. And that’s why I paid for it, because it works all by itself.”
In a recent Instagram post, the singer told her 16.6 million fans when it comes to her personal style, “It’s either bro’d out or hoe’d out no in between.”

In other news, SZA is still embarking on her S.O.S. Tour and according to her Instagram Story, she was rehearsing for her Amsterdam concert.
At the end of the day, SZA is grown and has the right to do whatever she wants with her body.
