📉 ‘Suits LA’ Gets The Ax After Just One Season

It’s lights out for “Suits LA”—NBC’s buzzy “Suits” spinoff starring Stephen Amell won’t be coming back for another round.

Despite its strong franchise roots and efforts to reignite “Suits”-mania, the legal drama failed to find solid footing in ratings or streaming.

NBC officially pulled the plug after just one season.

🎭 What Was ‘Suits LA’ About?

The spinoff followed Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor turned hotshot Los Angeles defense attorney who finds himself at a crossroads.

In a city driven by power, reputation, and reinvention, Ted must embrace the very role he once despised to keep his firm afloat.

The cast included Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, Bryan Greenberg, Troy Winbush, Rachelle Goulding, Azita Ghanizada, Maggie Grace, and Alice Lee.

Recurring appearances by Matt Letscher, Sofia Pernas, and Maggie Grace added extra depth to the ensemble.

🌟 Big Names, Big Expectations…But No Big Payoff

NBC and “Suits” creator Aaron Korsh went all in trying to make “Suits LA” a hit.

They even brought back OG faves like:

  • Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter (3-episode arc)
  • Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt
  • David Costabile as Daniel Hardman

NBC also gave the show a Thursday night marathon takeover to try and boost interest.

While there were slight ratings bumps here and there, it wasn’t enough.

Viewership mostly hovered just over 1 million in Live+Same Day, and the series didn’t break through on streaming either—despite the original “Suits” crushing it on Netflix.

📺 Another ‘Suits’ Spinoff Bites The Dust

“Suits LA” now joins USA’s “Pearson” as the second spinoff from the franchise to last only one season.

It’s a tough blow, especially with NBC clearing space for NBA coverage and canceling several other shows like “The Irrational”Found“Night Court”, and “Lopez vs. Lopez”.

This marks the end of the road—for now—for NBC’s ambitious return to the “Suits” universe.

Are you disappointed to see “Suits LA” canceled?
