Sinbad is recovering after suffering a recent stroke.
According to a statement from the 64-year-old comedian and actor’s family, they are “faithful and optimistic” about his recovery.
It is out of sincere love that we share Sinbad, our beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke.
Sinbad is a light source of love and joy for many generations. While he is beginning his road to recovery, we are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon.

Sinbad, whose real name is David Adkins, rose to fame as a stand-up comedian and expanded his talents into the world of acting with “The Sinbad Show” and roles on “A Different World” and most recently, “Rel.”
In August, he spoke at a the Laugh Factory’s candlelight vigil to demand justice for Elijah McClain.
