Shannon Sharpe opened up about his “OnlyShans” incident on Instagram Live on Wednesday, where he “accidentally” went live while having sex.

The NFL Hall of Famer turned media personality addressed the incident on his “Night Cap” show with Ochocinco, sharing that not only was he embarrassed, but he was also disappointed in himself as someone who takes pride in being professional at all times—even in the privacy of his own home.
There was an event that happened today. Obviously, I’m embarrassed. As someone who is extremely, extremely private, to have one of your most intimate moments—the audio—heard for the entire world to hear. I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons.
There are a lot of people who count on Shannon to be professional at all times, and I always try to be professional at all times. Even when I’m behind closed doors, I still try to maintain a level of professionalism, even in the privacy of my own home.
I’m very disappointed in myself—not for the act. I think there are millions and billions of consenting adults who engage in activity.
Shannon added that he reached out to his family following the incident and clarified, “Guys, this was not staged.”
I came in and threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity… I didn’t know IG Live—I’ve never been on IG Live.
I’ve never turned IG Live on…I don’t know how it works.
All of a sudden, my other phone starts going off, and people are calling me on FaceTime.
He continued:
My phone wasn’t hacked, it wasn’t a prank; it was me being a healthy, active male.
Y’all thought I was bulljivin’! Unc gets it in!
Shannon Sharpe also mentioned that comedian Katt Williams called him after the incident, joking, “You ain’t gay today!”
