After getting roasted on social media all day, Russell Simmons took to his Instagram page to address his daughters’ growing pains.
The Def Jam co-founder and former music mogul’s family drama with his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, and his daughters Ming Lee Simmons, and Aoki Lee Simmons, was aired out in the streets of social media on Monday.
Russell has been accused of taunting, threatening, and harassing his ex and daughters.
Russell Simmons took to his Instagram account to tell his daughters that they are going through “growing pains.”
God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok, be strong. . . they are called growing pains . . . as you know, we grow through adversity and struggle . . . you read my books and heard me preach your whole childhood . . . reach back and to remember “smile and breathe” ❤️ “smile and breathe” . . . you are the watchers of this world . . . so let go . . . be at ease . . . God is driving and he is working on you
The 65-year-old father also apologized for raging in the (now deleted) screen recording Aoki posted via Instagram.
DEEPLY sorry for being frustrated and yelling . . .but know this . . . there are no conditions . . . for sure i love you guys more than i love myself

Damn. I’d be so disheartened and pissed if my dad was harassing me, my sister, mother and grandmother behind the scenes and then coming to post us like we are his heartbeats🥴. This is a whole new level of narcissism; the kids are right – he does need help😔.
Sending love, light and healing your way Sir!✨🤍
Rapper Fat Joe commented on the post writing, “This ain’t none of our business ❤️”
