The gripping drama is inspired by Jeff Hobbs’ New York Times bestseller, “The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace: A Brilliant Young Man Who Left Newark for the Ivy League.”

The film, directed by and starring Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, delves into the real-life story of Robert Peace, portrayed by Jay Will.

Rob is a young man of exceptional promise, caught between the shadows of his father’s troubled past and the bright future he is striving to build.

Raised by his dedicated mother, played by the talented Mary J. Blige, Rob’s journey takes a risky turn as he fights to free his incarcerated father, a role taken on by Ejiofor himself.

The film’s stellar cast includes Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Kelly, Mare Winningham, and Camila Cabello, adding depth to this emotional tale.
