Ray J has issued a public apology to Pastor Jamal Bryant days after he threatened to “snatch him off the pulpit.”
Brandy’s brother became upset after appearing on the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor’s podcast.
On Tuesday (November 12), he took to social media, warning Pastor Bryant against releasing the interview.
“Shoutout to Jamal Bryant, shoutout to Vaughn Alvarez, but if y’all play that interview somebody getting snatched off the pulpit. Don’t play the interview…it’s not cleared. It was out of bounds. Me and Pastor Bryant need to talk because the way I was treated was dirty and illegal. And I don’t like it and I don’t want nobody to play that f**kin interview.”
Shortly after his threat, Ray J took to his IG Story, claiming that someone had just tried to shoot and kill him.
Pastor Bryant responded to Ray J’s comments on social media.
In a lengthy post, he expressed surprise and disappointment over Ray J’s unfounded threats and baseless accusations.
He added that, while his podcast is typically free of edits, he had agreed to remove certain portions in Ray J’s best interest.
“It was both surprising and disheartening to wake up to unfounded threats and baseless accusations directed at me. As part of our commitment to honest dialogue, we ensured that specific comments with potential legal ramifications were edited out of the interview to safeguard the best interest of a brother beloved.”

Today, Ray J, who appears to be in a sober state of mind, publicly apologized to Pastor Jamal Bryant, writing:
“PASTOR BRYANT! I take full accountability for my words! I apologize to you and the whole church community! What I did might be unforgivable but I still want you to know that I’m sorry and it was not ok what I did. I would love to pray with you and hopefully we can work this out and maybe.. just maybe you can help me moving forward. I’m human and I made a big mistake with this one. 🙏🏽”
Princess Love’s estranged husband also shared a video apology.
Ray J needs an intervention before it’s too late.
He is crashing out at a high rate of speed on a regular basis, and without help—this won’t end well.
