Former social media influencer and rapper Lil Tay passed away at the age of 14.
According to a statement released on her official Instagram page, both Tay, whose real name is Claire Hope, and her brother, Jason Tian, have died.
While their cause of death has not been released, the statement says an investigation has been launched.

Prior to the news of her passing, Lil Tay appeared to be inactive on Instagram since 2018.
Her last post was a tribute to XXXtentacion.
She wrote:
