Queen Latifah is set to star in CBS’ forthcoming reboot of “The Equalizer.”

Not only is Latifah starring in the pilot – she is also executive producing it.

Here’s the scoop via Deadline:

Written by Marlowe and Miller, who will serve as showrunners, “The Equalizer” stars Queen Latifah as an enigmatic figure who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn.

This is a new take on the character played by Edward Woodward on the original series and by Denzel Washington in the movie franchise.

Just a little history…

The Equalizer films, starring Denzel Washington, directed by Antoine Fuqua, was an adaptation of CBS’s original TV series that aired from 1985-1989.

I am here for whatever Queen Latifah has going on!

Congrats to her on this new project.
