DJ Akademiks‘ ongoing beef with Saucy Santana has prompted Queen Latifah to enter the chat.
Why Are Akademiks & Saucy Santana Beefing?
DJ Akademiks’s beef with Saucy Santana began when Saucy stepped in to defend his bestie Yung Miami.
It’s no secret that Akademiks won’t hesitate to disrespect a Black woman and he’s targeted everyone from SZA to Erykah Badu.
But, for some reason, he seemingly has a huge target on the City Girls rapper’s back.
You may recall that earlier this year, Akademiks said Yung Miami’s only talent was pimping men.
Yung Miami is, to me, a clown. She’s a one-trick pony. She is not talented enough to do anything else. The only active talent is to be like, ‘Yo, I’m pimping these dudes out.’
While you come out in interviews and you’re crying. You talked to Diddy to DM me. ‘Yo, please, he’s calling me a side chick!’
Yung Miami reacted by calling Akademiks a gay slur.
In a recent interview with VladTV, DJ Akademiks pointed out the irony in Yung Miami calling him a gay slur when her bestie is Saucy Santana.
I believe a lot of Black women is why the levels of homophobia is what it is.
Those people who usually have gay friends – because women always say they have a gay best friend – let them get mad at a straight dude.
They’ll try to belittle you by calling you gay.
It was interesting when Caresha tried to call me gay. She also used a term that is apparently a Florida term that’s like the “F” word. I seen her type it to me and I’m like, ‘What is that?’
And they’re like that’s a derogative term for gay people.
So, I thought to myself, how could you have disdain or even be using those terms towards those type of people if you love who your best friend happens to be?

Akademiks didn’t stop there.
In a recent podcast episode, he targeted the City Girls saying that he believes they are over after poor sales of their latest album.
I wanna talk about the City Girls, I’m gonna be honest with you man, I think the City Girls are completely over with. They just did the most pathetic interview I just seen recently.
And we need to hold some of these makeshift, chameleon, non-talented, lazy, non-passionate people accountable. You see the City Girls are the definition of people who have gotten to places in their career without ever really doing the work.
Saucy Santana grew tired of watching Akademiks attack women – especially his bestie.
He took to social media and fired back at Akademiks saying:
Akademiks, you keep talking about what the — Caresha said to you, but how she feel about you, is how she feel about you. Me being her best friend, it don’t have nothing to — do with me.
In the hood, and in a lot of urban cultures, when you see boys that are acting feminine, that are being messy, that are being extra and doing — —, that’s what you address them as.
Even as me being a gay man, I don’t move like a —. And it’s a lot of other gay boys that are feminine or whatever, but everybody don’t move like —. You move like a —.
The beef between Akademiks and Saucy Santana escalated quickly with the “Booty” rapper threatening to beat Ak down and clap his cheeks.
Akademiks In Tears
After Saucy Santana threatened to clap his cheeks, DJ Akademiks became overwhelmed with emotion as he reacted to the threat.
Ak fought back tears as he explained how he wanted to unleash (presumably homophobic slurs), but he couldn’t out of fear of being canceled.
I don’t — with certain — and I would never do. I’m in America and I just gotta sit here and act like.. I don’t — with certain —. I would never like it…
Just please, I’m telling you, I hate certain — to the soul of me. I’m only pretending for y’all. Because if I say what I want to say I would never be here for y’all but that’s not my content. But I’m not that person.

Yung Miami felt no empathy for Akademiks’ tears.
She reacted to the clip writing, “I was in tears when he laughed and was trolling about my car getting shot up while I was 6 months pregnant.”
Queen Latifah Enters The Chat
Now, that you have been brought up to speed – let’s talk about Queen Latifah.
The Hip Hop legend – who always minds her business – took to her Instagram Story and entered the chat by reposting a quote from rapper and activist Mysonne.
The quote reads:
It’s crazy to me how DJ Akademiks is crying scared to say anything to Saucy Santana because he’s a gay man and he’s scared of getting “cancelled,” but he has said some of the most outlandish, vile, disrespectful, and demeaning things to Black women with absolutely no feat whatsoever…🤔🤷🏾♂️…
Brings me back to Malcolm X’s quote…The most disrespected, unprotected, and neglected person in America is the Black woman!
