Puerto Rico’s Health Department announced on Friday that they will provide free COVID-19 rapid testing on the weekends at toll booths, across the island, to decrease infections.
The test results will be available in 15-minutes. People who test positive will be recommended to isolate themselves, and health officials will initiate contact tracing on them.
The free test are targeted at people who are asymptomatic, but there are no restrictions on who can take the test.
Why do other islands and countries seem to have much better strategies to decrease COVID-19 infections than the U.S.?
Hopefully, the 2021 U.S. administration has a better plan to eradicate the Coronavirus.
