Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead, this film promises to be an emotional powerhouse.

Set in the Jim Crow South, Nickel Boys follows the gripping story of two young African American men facing the harsh realities of life in a reform school in Florida.

The story begins with Elwood Curtis, whose bright future is derailed by a fateful mistake, landing him in the infamous Nickel Academy.

There, he meets Turner, a seasoned survivor of the harsh conditions.

As the two form a deep bond, Turner provides the survival skills Elwood needs, while Elwood’s unshakable optimism begins to challenge Turner’s hardened outlook.

Against the backdrop of the Civil Rights Movement, the duo’s struggle to maintain their humanity amid Nickel Academy’s brutality unfolds.

Despite the darkness surrounding them, Elwood’s unwavering hope ignites a spark of change in Turner.
