Nick Cannon recently stopped by “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” and joked that Big Boy ruined his marriage to Mariah Carey.
But as they say, behind every joke…there’s a little truth.
Based on Big’s reaction, Nick has mentioned this several times before.
Hey bro, can you stop bringing that up?
Because, you know what man, the first time you said it I thought you were playing.
And then, remember you would come and I’d be like, ‘Dude, did I really ruin your first marriage?’…
Nick responded:
Yes!… That was the kickoff.
It wasn’t you, it was my fault. I was very immature and that kind of… and I’m still immature, but it’s like, that should a sign of, like, ‘Oh, you could’ve handled that better.’
I was like, ‘F*** I’m here with my friend, we going in!’…
She brought it up to me. Because, again, I’m thinking, ‘She ain’t listening to this sh*t!… This ain’t gonna hit her radar.
It definitely did.
And it wasn’t what you were asking, it was the fact that, like, my eyes lit, I was gloating about my exploits, and she’s, like, ‘You’re a married man.’
I was like, ‘Damn, I never thought about it like that.’
I thought I was an entertainer!

Nick was referencing a segment called “Gimme’ 5’ that he did on BigBoyTV nine years ago.
In the segment, Big Boy asks his guest five questions that he couldn’t ask them live on the air.
He asked Nick to name five famous women that he’s been with.
Mariah took issue with the way Nick responded.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey tied the knot at her private estate in the Bahamas on April 30, 2008, after a six-week romance.
Three years later, they welcomed fraternal twins, son Moroccan Cannon, and daughter Monroe Cannon.
By 2014, Nick and Mariah separated and were living apart.
They officially filed for divorce in December 2014 and finalized the divorce in 2016.
Since his divorce from Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon has gone on to welcome 10 more children with five other women.
