New Orleans Pelicans center Jaxson Hayes‘ arrest video has been released amid an LAPD investigation for possible use of excessive force.
Partially released maybe a better way to describe it.
The video starts with Jaxson on the ground with three officers restraining him, one officer already has the taser on Jaxson’s chest at the start of the video.
Jaxson appears to try to get up and the officer with the taser tases him.
Jaxson’s friends are heard off-camera shouting “No!’ and “Stop!”
One of his friends gives a quick recap of what happened prior to the tasing:
Bruh, they just came up to us and walked into here, and Jaxson said you can’t go inside.
They started touching him, he pushed them around, and that’s when he tackled Jaxson.
He just tackled Jaxson out of nowhere.
One of the cops then tells the guy filming to “Back up! Unless you’re going to end up back there like him.
Watch the video below:
Jaxson was taken into custody around 3 AM on July 28, and he was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
He was charged with resisting arrest, and he posted a $25k bond.
On Tuesday, LAPD Chief Michael Moore announced that there would be an investigation into the arrest after Jaxson alleged he had difficulty breathing during the altercation because of the force applied to his neck.
The cops claimed that Jaxson started and escalated the altercation.
According to the cops, when they arrived on the scene, Hayes attempted to enter the home disobeying their commands, and he shoved an officer and injured him.
Body worn video captured Hayes repeatedly attempting to enter the
residence despite officers blocking his path and verbal commands for him to remain outside.Officers requested a backup and they attempted to place Hayes’ hands behind his back; however, Hayes broke free of the officers’ grasp and pushed one of the officers into a wall.
If this is true, why does the video start with Jaxson Hayes being restrained on the ground by the three officers?
A lie don’t care who tell it.
