Netflix is planning to drop their dead weight.
The streamer announced they are going to automatically cancel the memberships of inactive users who have not watched anything for 12 months.
If you’re on their hit list, Netflix will contact you to give you to the opportunity to confirm you want to keep your account.

If you fail to respond, your account will be canceled.
Once your inactive account is terminated, Netflix will keep favorites, profiles, viewing preferences and account details for 10 months in the event you decide to come back.
At this time, the streamer has a few hundred thousand inactive accounts they plan to purge.
