Netflix has dropped the official trailer for “Pulse,” the streamer’s first English-language medical procedural—and it’s shaping up to be a must-watch.

With a hurricane bearing down on Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center, the drama inside the hospital is just as intense as the chaos outside.

A Storm, A Scandal, & High-Stakes Medicine

At the heart of Pulse is Dr. Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald), a third-year resident who’s unexpectedly thrust into a leadership role when the hospital’s Chief Resident, Dr. Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell), is suspended.

But as the storm rages, so do tensions inside the ER. Danny and Phillips must navigate an onslaught of critical cases—all while dealing with the fallout of their own messy, illicit romance.

With the hospital on lockdown, the pressure is on for this tight-knit group of doctors, who find that saving lives is sometimes easier than fixing their own.

The cast features Justina Machado, Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, and Jessica Rothe, among others.
