Ne-Yo isn’t happy about folks reporting on his custody and child support battle with his alleged mistress Sade Bagnerise.
I previously reported that the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, filed a paternity and child support lawsuit against Sade over their two sons, Braiden (born in 2021) and Brixton (born in February 2023).
Ne-Yo asked the court to order a DNA test to confirm he is Brixton’s father and he asked that Braiden’s last name be legally changed to Smith.
He also asked the court to establish a monthly child support payment and award him joint legal and physical custody of the boys.
In her countersuit, Sade demanded primary physical custody of the boys, but agreed to joint legal custody.
Sade Bagnerise also asked the court to award her temporary and permanent child support along with reimbursement for a fair portion of any medical, educational, extracurricular, insurance, or other expenses related to the minor children that she incurs.
Ne-Yo was previously married to Crystal Renay Smith, who filed for divorce after learning he had fathered a child with Sade.
In February 2023, they finalized their divorce with Ne-Yo paying Crystal a lump sum of $1.6 million and $20,000 to cover moving expenses.
He also pays Crystal Reney $12,000 in monthly child support for their three children as well as $3,000 per month in alimony.
Ne-Yo took to Instagram and lashed out at The Shade Room for reporting on his child support and custody case.
The singer slid into the comments of their post writing:
Why is this a story? We had kids. We’re not together. Imma support my kids. Like any other baby daddy with any kind of care for the well being of his kids🤷🏾♂️
Y’all thirsty. But then again, it’s THE SHADE ROOM. I guess I shouldn’t be shocked at “shade” from THE SHADE ROOM. Meanwhile all my kids are healthy, beautiful and well taken care of. And I ain’t beefing with any of their mothers. There you go. From the horses mouth.
Y’all have a nice day.

It was just last month that Ne-Yo took to the streets of Instagram to get a few things off of his chest regarding the criticism he receives over his personal life.
At the end of the day, Ne-Yo is doing what’s necessary to take care of his children.
But, he surely understands that he’s a public figure and his shenanigans with women and his antics during his previous marriage are the makings of a Lifetime movie.
